Trad Spätlese is normaly not may favourite Riesling. Too sweet as a refresher (go Kabinett!) or with food, not sweet enough for dessert. However, this really pushes all the right buttons for me. White peach, sweet citrus, slate-mineral, hints of petrol. Amazingly fresh with perfect balance between sugar and acids. Really, really good.

Can I just ditto Seth's note. I didn't take notes so I'll just have to say this is awesome and completely, 100% in my wheelhouse for Riesling. I am utterly stunned at the quality of Weiser-Kunstler's 2010s and 2011s. Absolute world class juice. Don't miss this... but leave me some bottles... because there aren't too many to go around.
Sweet nose of gingerbread, toffee biscuits, spices - cumin, peach, apple, with that same wonderful herbal-vegetal-saline-cumin aspect like the 2011 Kabinett. Enters sweet with honey, peaches and apples. Quite lively in the mid-palate with more peach, lime, brown spices and lots of 2010 zing. Still round, but very lively. Lots of peach, lime, honey, spice, and saline on the long and saliva-inducing finish. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17/20.

Light yellow. Bit of petrol, tropical fruit and white berry fruit in the nose. Acid and sugar very well balanced, mouthwatering. No petrol left. Light (7,5% alcohol), peach, annanas, and more: rather complex, changing aroma's and good minerality. I could imagine that the slightly yeasty taste will integrate in coming years, but I am not used to this kind of wine....Clean, light footed anyway, now; I like this.
