Really interesting. The nose reminded me of old dusty wooden floorboards; the palate brought plums and earth and mushrooms and another fruit profile I can't put my finger on. For a $23 bottle, I'm pretty impressed.

popped and poured. Let sit in the glass about 10 minutes before first glass. Nose was light, raspberries, and minerals. On the palate the minerality outshined the fruit. Had the wine with perogies. I can see where people say this wine needs food.

Better this bottle, though still not as good as 2008. Better acidity, some smokey minerality noticeable. A really good food wine.

Didn't care for this. Modern in style with oak obstructing the fruit. Not even close to as good as the Terre Nere Rosso.
