The 2010 dry creek fume blanc was a great disappointment to me, as I have really enjoyed their earlier vintages. the flavors are quite strong and sharp, and the green apple is very sour. there is also strong vegetable flavor, other reviews have said green pepper, which is not quite right but close. Sadly I cannot recommend this wine, but will hope the 2011 is back on form.

I am not a big wine color guy, but this wine barely has any color to speak of. The nose shows a light grapefruit expression and it comes across similar to a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc without the intensity. The palate continues to show the cirtus aspects and a very steely finish. Nice structure but it needs more fruit.

Grapefruit, lemon rind, some vegetal and hints of tropical and white pepper on the nose. Pithy grapefruit, lemon pepper and a hint of honey on the palate. Med-light body and high acidity - not the most enjoyable wine for drinking on its own.

Big time melon flavor. Pleasantly surprised as I am usually disappointed in Cali SB. 87-88 points.
