A very pretty wine, now mature and integrated but still brimming with ripe black and red fruits. The nose is lovely, but unfortunately, the minty, eucalyptus-y notes stick out far too much on the finish. Still worked well with a pickle-laden smash burger.
Drought in 2009 led to wines with high alcohol content, and perhaps they over-extracted in an effort to find balance.

Bought 2 bottles on clearance for $14 (had bought 4, 4 years ago at $25). Either weren't stored properly at the store, or is just past its window. Won't consider this a value.

45% Cabernet Franc(!!!), 25% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Carignan from Maule Valley, Chile. This is great for any Right Bank centric Bordeaux lovers. The large amount of CF is ripe, not green and very dominant (good thing). Especially when I scored these bottles for $14 each!

Minerals, stemmy, hard edges, fruit faded, but still like this.

This was real nice day 1 after breathing for 30 minutes. Later day 1 and subsequent days this wine fell in quality. Still nice.
