Community Tasting Notes (3) Avg Score: 91.4 points

  • Deep ruby color. Nose shows good fruit, with notes of cocoa, cedar, and graphite. The palate has nice layers of fruit and chocolate. The finish is a tiny bit short and there is a tad too much heat on the back end; this would merit a higher score orherwise. Maybe another year will help but this is still good now. Much better than the 04 I had a little while ago.

  • The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It tastes like raspberry and strawberry. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

  • The color is deep dark garnet and very opaque and deeply colored. The aromas are dark chocolate, blueberry jam, currant jam, sweet vanilla, espresso, sweet raisin, and strawberry jam. The tastes are sweet raisin, dark jam, fig, sweet coffee, blueberry jam, sweet tobacco, and crushed cherries. The acidity blazes and the tannins are dusty satin. The finish goes on and on and on. So much "WTF" going on here and man does this deliver! A full frontal hedonistic assault on the senses!
