  • Purchased August 2011 at the Vineyard. Wonderful example of Pisoni fruit. Very smooth and approachable.
Deep color, succulent nose. Excellent touch of vanilla oak at finish.

  • I opened this wine with a chef friend of mine after having a Sea Smoke 'Southing', and a Radio-Coteau syrah. We'd finished dinner (filet mignon) and had moved on to simply tasting wine. This is by far the best offering from Bernardus that I've had so far. Already drinking wonderfully, it could probably lay down for another 2-3 years and get better. Smooth straight out of the bottle, no decanting, big fruit, cherries, beautiful color. Simply excellent. This is a very low production wine, but if you can get your hands on it, it'll be worth the effort.
