  • This is a great example of a full-bodied, fat and luscious Viognier, sweet of smell but dry of taste. With a rich and brilliant pale lemon colour, and a slightly pear-like and toasted nose (a little breathing required on first opening), leading to a layered sensation of cooked apricots (mirabelles) and frangipane tart. The taste was rich, full-bodied and dry; more tropical papaya and apricots with good citrus acidity that allows this 14.5% Viognier to stay away from flabbiness. A decent mid length and pleasant aftertaste makes this an excellent example and good value for money. Drink straight away to preserve the fruit characteristics.

  • The nose is a little toasted almond with citrus and vanilla. The palate is smooth, then dry with flavours of almond, lemon, grapefruit and white grapes. Really nice, refreshing viognier.
