  • Its a second aged red from Greece in a month and both were great. I tend to agree that to properly understand Greek reds, you need to properly mature them as only then they start to sing. Its a single varietal of CS, aged for 16 months in new FR oak and 24 months in bottle. Deep opaque ruby red colour. Medium+ intensity of barnyard, leather, cassis, plums, tar, dried violets, tobacco. Full body, rich and powerful with medium+ density, spiced and smoked plum flavour and firmly structured austere tannins.

  • Amazing wine with huge concetration, unlike the drink dates i found which made me open it i think it could spend some more years in bottle and become even better. Certainly one of the best Greek reds. There is light sediment in the bottle.

  • From Magnum and decanted for 30mins. A good hour is advisable here.
Quite dark in colour, glossy. The nose is vary Cab Sauv, good dark fruits, light oaky aromatics and in general youthful and fresh. Could use some more time in bottle, especially the magnums as is this case. On the palate you feel the youth but its in no way backward or austere. Very well made wine, balance of ripe/extract/oak. We always slander Greek Reds, but this along with Magiko Vouno are red wines made in Greece ready for world stage. Granted these are French wines made in Greece yari..yari.. but still good to see winemaking of this quality. 92 and could easily get more as time goes by.
