Deep color with spicy aroma, herbaceous, maybe just a little meaty. Smooth with easy tannins, menthol, dark fruit, nice finish. A truly excellent example of a Rhone. Delicious.

Found this to be quite pleasurable after a few hours in a decanter. What starts as a very closed and acidic wine opens into something that is closer to a more traditional CDR with light earth tones, and a varied fruit profile (not a grenache bomb), but something more complex with cinsault, mourvedre, and maybe something else. Dark yet a little zippy, this is a great value.

30% Grenache, 25% Carignane, 20% Mourvedre, 15% Cinsault, 5% Syrah. The aromas here are just blasting off,...dried herb. And I almost forget how unmemorable the '10 Nostre Blanc was coming off.

Needed 3 hours of air to get interesting. Dark red-purple in the glass. Nose of pepper, raisin, licorice, herbs, and subtly funkiness. On the palate jammy black fruit it highlighted with distinct tannin, leather, earthy loam, and spice. The finish lingers with brightness and a dry tight edge. Might get more interesting on day two.

excellent wine. dense flavors, herbacious, with notes of macintosh apple as well as spice, long finish for a wine at this price, very balanced.
