  What a pleasant surprise in this deeply colored, nearly opaque purple-black Merlot. Lots of aromatics of black fruit, palate opens with sweet black currant and blackberry pie flavors, layers of dark chocolate on the finish, and dusty/grainy, but sweet tannins for a nice structure. Balanced and delicious.
