The nose is fresh and a bit uncharacteristic of Muscadet, though nevertheless yielding enticing tones of sea breeze, fresh hay, and lemon squares. The palate opens with crisp orchard fruits and saline minerality. The saline spine provides direction across the mid-palate to a finish of pine sap and lemon/lime. It is medium bodied with vivid mineral tension, however it could be a bit more cohesive. It is a fun wine, and while not necessarily in the classic style of muscadet, it is interesting with mouth watering acidity. R&M 86

Starts out deliciously floral-mineral, as bright as the late summer weather today, then develops an intriguing pepperiness that I haven't encountered in Muscadet before. Sweet-mineral lively balance in the mouth is superb and the flavors are impressively full of force. Hits the spot for sure but also leaves a memorable impression.

Muscadet? The heck you say. A serious wine. Opens with grapefruit and even a little bitterness, some strawberry in the nose. With time in the glass, gains focus. Bitterness vanishes, acidity coalesces like a knife blade, and a fruit complex of cranshaw melon, quince, and something between kiwi and gooseberry. Develops grip and length. Still very young but drinking beautifully now with 30 minutes' air time. Seems this cost under $25. A bargain.
