  Beautiful, rich, sappy, pungent, fruity, spicy, nobly earthy, mid-slope Rheingau. Peach, apricot/tart-apricot, pear, quince, lime-oil, lanolin, starfruit, grapefruit. Some crushed-rock, lime-flesh & lime-zest on the back palate, & ramps up on the finish. Excellent acidity, balance, intensity. Drinks like a low/mid-level Spatlese. Great QPR (I paid $18.50+). Been through cases; has been a house favorite for a long time. Each decent vintage is pretty much a no-brainer QPR buy.

  Nose initially with hints of rubber and petrol which blew away on successive tastings; over time, gave way to candied pineapple, honey, and some stone fruits. More on the richer side on the mouthfeel; palate initially with citrus and apple/pear flavors which developed over time to the tropical side with hints of pineapple and mango. A bit "rounder" on the finish with good acidity but not the ripping acidity found in some kabinetts.
  
  Nice expression of rheingau including a bit fleshier body with softer finish; those looking a delicate, light-bodied wine with bright, ripping acidity should look elsewhere.
