Has continued to change in the bottle. Pronounced distintas from the Malbec. Red cherries, licorice and herbs. Spoiled a little by too much alcohol which gives a pronounced heat on the finish.

Decanted for 3 hours. Nose has cedar with a hint of green peppers. Initial taste is soft and very dry with notes of blue and red fruit. There is licorice and smoke in the long finish. A more refined than usual cru Borgeois and a great accompaniment for steak.

Nose of green peppers. Great mouthfeel. Dark cherries and prunes, hints of roses, cedar and licorice. Medium tannins, nice acidity. Would go well with steak or roast beef.

Decanted for two hours. Drank over three days. The quality here is slightly better-than-average Cru Bourgeois. Refined but firmly grounded with less rusticity than previous bottles. Aromas and flavours are purple fruits and flowers. No secondary notes as yet. Nose/palate/finish all good. Looking forward to the next bottle already. 89-90 points.
