The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis). It tastes like forest floor. The body is medium/full. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Nose of floral and light fruits/berries. Hint of Cinnamon in the secondary. Drank with 2009 Ridge Lytton Spring Zinfandel, the Puccioni Zinfandel had more complexity/character -- of spices, and a touch of pepper in the end.
Paired with shabu shabu (Nebraskan Wagyu), the Puccioni Zinfandel complimented the yuzu citrus in the ponzu sauce. It paired well with the fatty slices of wagyu beef.
