This was the highlight of the flight of wines I tasted this evening. Lots of cherries and chocolate and with a bit of vanilla, spice and tobacco. This is very complex for a single varietal and is at the top of its game right now. I will be looking to acquire a case of this tomorrow morning.

Tremendous. Best of wine of the night in a 6 bottle blind. Very structured and opens perfectly. Delighted to see this come out of CA without the forced tannins and oak. Black fruit, with cassis and spice hold open the nose. Tannins close and allow for a subtle textures to take over. Huge QPR. Don't allow yourself to be confused with other F-C's (I'm looking at your Alex. valley....) this is a great bottle and I would love to have a case.

Spicy with black cherry notes. Robust in flavor, yet it has mellowed out and buttery feel in the mouth.

Almost black in color. More restrained than the Conn Creek with rounder tannins and more fruit forward flavors. Still very excellent.
