  • Enoteca tasting. Coravin 1st sample from Ex-cellar bottle. Maison bottle - white capsule.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of flint, limestone minerality, citrus lemon-lime, underlying roasted nut. Hint of matchstick. Developing.
On the palate, dry, very high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fresh citrus lemon-lime, bit of orange peel, almond nut, honey cream, wet stones, limestone minerality. Medium+ finish that becomes deceptively long with more air.
Very good quality. Fruit is still so fresh for its age! Certainly no premox. Lots of finesse and elegance. Still feels like it could develop more aged honey and nutty notes with a few more years. Who said 2001 was not a white vintage for the long term?

  • Very good, but not exceptional.

  • Nice, fresh nose with rubber suit, elegant oak, yellow pear, modelling clay, some hints of granite minerality. (Chablis-like)
Medium fullish, quite elegant palate. Good acidity. No Premox. Butter, mineral, but lacking some fruit. Austere style that reminded us of a Chablis.
