  • Has matured nicely. Starting to develop some secondary flavors...raisins, prune. Should be good for another few years.

  • Thick, dark fruit with nicely integrated tannins, opens up nicely after just 30 min. Easy to drink without food.

  • Powerful flavors of blackberries, cassis, redcurrants, and herbs. Quite full-bodied with a long finish. This wine has lots of great stuffing but the tannins are still quite forceful, and though I enjoyed it I think it'll definitely improve for a few more years and be even better.

  • Dark, thick texture of this wine out of the bottle. Very full body. The entire room was filled with pleasant aroma while pouring into a decanter. Plums, cassis, blackberries, a bit of tar on the nose. Velvety, smooth, warm. No oak, well balanced. A pleasure to drink.

  • opened with nose of chocolate and hint of blueberry; not much fruit on the palate, astringent, tart, a little heat on the finish. After 3 hours, nose has disappeared and palate remains tart, with black cherries; heat remains. After about 5 hours, it really starts to open up to show a lot of dark cabernet fruit (blackberries, cassis, a little blueberry) and more tannic finish with less heat. Started out disappointed with the wine and finished intrigued by what it may become with a little more time. If drinking now, some time to open and a decant will help. I will wait a couple of years for the next bottle.
