Powerful flavors of blackberries, cassis, redcurrants, and herbs. Quite full-bodied with a long finish. This wine has lots of great stuffing but the tannins are still quite forceful, and though I enjoyed it I think it'll definitely improve for a few more years and be even better.

Dark, thick texture of this wine out of the bottle. Very full body. The entire room was filled with pleasant aroma while pouring into a decanter. Plums, cassis, blackberries, a bit of tar on the nose. Velvety, smooth, warm. No oak, well balanced. A pleasure to drink.

opened with nose of chocolate and hint of blueberry; not much fruit on the palate, astringent, tart, a little heat on the finish. After 3 hours, nose has disappeared and palate remains tart, with black cherries; heat remains. After about 5 hours, it really starts to open up to show a lot of dark cabernet fruit (blackberries, cassis, a little blueberry) and more tannic finish with less heat. Started out disappointed with the wine and finished intrigued by what it may become with a little more time. If drinking now, some time to open and a decant will help. I will wait a couple of years for the next bottle.

Has matured nicely. Starting to develop some secondary flavors...raisins, prune. Should be good for another few years.

Thick, dark fruit with nicely integrated tannins, opens up nicely after just 30 min. Easy to drink without food.
