Only bottle from this vineyard. Very impressed. One whiff told me that this was going to be a winner. Hard to describe, but the wine’s nose matched how other excellent Napa wines smell. On the palate, solid fruit, a touch of Rutherford dust, and a touch of sweetness. Terrific smoothness. A decent amount of sedimentation, so happy I used a vinturi to filter.

My notes of 2/8 still apply. I wish we had more of this wine and vintage in our cellar. Unfortunately, this was our last bottle of the 2008. This wine used to be such a great value. It’s lost that appeal and me as a client. Wine, for me, is not price inelastic. On to other parts of the wine world.

Deep dark ruby red color. Wonderful nose that got more expressive as it aired in the glass; displaying notes of cedar, toffee, cocoa, mint, blueberries and fig compote. Nice mouthfeel with a long finish. Layers of black peppercorns, ripe figs, cedar, coffee and cassis. Very nice wine that should be consumed over the next 10-12 months.

Really terrific, far exceeded my expectations. Decanted around 9am, first glass around 1pm - finished by 6pm. Big fruit-full nose, silky smooth with long finish and abundant dark berry flavors. One bottle left - I cant see it getting any better & given this experience will try to drink before 2020.

Pretty ruby color with a brick rim encroaching toward the center. Rich nose of stewed fruit and spice. Hints of rubarb and dark raspberry. The palate is very much intact with tannin still assertive and balanced. This wine has some time to go but don't let it go too long!
