  • Still pretty tight. Dark red fruits. As described by other tasters. Some vanilla. Feels like the expensive French brother of a Walter Scott Oregon Pinot Noir. Not yet magic. Will hold other two bottles.

  • Chambolle-themed lunch at SSG. Tasted blind. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of deep red cherries, thick red plums, touch of toast oak/hint of mocha. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of strong red cherries, thick red plums, sweet spices, touch of oak toast. Long finish.
Good quality but feels so primary at the moment. Kept remainder to explore after more air. Day 2: Nose zilch nothing! Palate pure primary fruits with a nice fine oak frame. Silky tannins on entry but structure appears to the long finish. Undisputedly well-made, though the time is not right yet.

  • Drinking nicely now. Medium(+) bodied, medium acidity, and medium (+) finely grained tannins that carry ripe dark fruits, and secondary and tertiary elements. While the Alcohol is only 13%+ the wine has weight on the palate. The wood is notable at first but with an hour of air subsides to a well-integrated display. Medium finish with a slightly funky, peppery note (from stem inclusion). Overall, a very good wine that would benefit from a longer finish.

  • Slightly funky nose of reach and first floor with a hint of bright raspberries. Deep color still with a palate extracted bing chef fires and berries, subdued tannins and solid acidity. Lovely wine and excellent value at this price point.

  • An added layer on the nose and the mouth would have made this wine a great one

A beautiful wine nonetheless. Sharp and exact

A touch of cocoa/mocha was the only thing that was out of touch in this well polished wine
