There was a wonderful toasted almond aroma when we opened the Blue Farm pinot noir. This was our first bottle. After a 30-minute decant, the wine was lush, very polished and lingered on the palate. It was filled with black cherry flavors and gentle spices.

Colour: Dark pinot Nose: Ripe berries mainly strawberries and raspberries but also black currants, earth and a little sweetness from a banana. Mouth: Dark and ripe berries but thus controlled by an surprisingly strong acid from currants.

Very easy drinking now. Strong berry-driven nose. Not a typical burgundy style - clearly an American big boy. Opaque plum-black. Popped and poured. Good long finish. Halfway thru the bottle more subtle notes of leather and anis. Still strong fruit. A real treat!

What a treat! Massive blackberry and fruit at the outset, dark ruby color. Nice licorice and plum notes on the nose. Nice smooth tannins revealing licorice, plums and a nice leather/eathyness notes. I can't wait to taste the rest, but it will have to wait I think.
