  • 3rd bottle, Kabinett Riesling with 10.5% vol., 15€/20USD in Germany.
Initially muted but grows rapidly with temparature. Petrol, quince and sweet ripe pear first, honey, peach and ripe citrus notes follow. Medium intense nose, you can smell the sweetness and ripeness (12/15). Intense palate with sweetness and acidity upfront, battling for dominance, where sweetness wins tightly but acidity does its job and refreshes. Ripe yellow fruits again, some mineral notes (12/15). The body is medium, has a very good concentration, the balance is very good, could be a little more mineral driven (7.5/10). Some might find it a little too sweet. The finish is also very good, the ripe sweet pear taste stays quite some time (7.5/10).
12+12+7.5+7.5(+50) = 89/100 - A very good wine. We had it with tagliatelle with salmon-fennel-cream-sauce and it was a super pairing. Good menu Riesling, also good for sweet dessert and creamy cheese.

  • Serve well chilled but not fridge-cold.
Pale yellow to light golden colour, crystal clear like a gem.
Vineyard peach and pear nose, very fresh and clear, mineral notes, sweet. Very good but not overly intense. 88 p.
Fresh, vivid palate, pleasant acidity balancing the present sweetness. Very good sweet-fruity finish, long lasting. 88+ p.
Will absolutely evolve over the next years.

  • A lovely Riesling, a bit too much residual sugar for our tastes, but really enjoyable - Gold, medium bodied with a nose of apple, pear, peach and a touch of petrol, well structured and balanced, interesting, sweet, sour on the palate with excellent length, nice! (88 Points).

  • Lemon-lime and mineral nose and flavours. Medium-dry and zesty palate; simple but pretty in character.
    3.5/5
