Immediately after opening surprising, not restrained like most old Bordeaux at start. Smooth palate with velvet, absolutely no aggressiveness, a basket of fruits, juvenile appearance. If a lady tells you she doesn’t like Bordeaux wines, serve her this one and be flabbergasted about your success! Drinking maturity supposed to be at climax in 2014 - forget it. I am so happy having been patient enough to wait until now. I rate this wine higher than a Ch. Pibran 1999 I tasted 1 week ago

Not much good to say here. I know this is a very young wine, and perhaps it could improve, but there seems little foundation to believe it. Not much of a nose, just some heat and base fruit aromas. The taste was simple red fruit, watery and with little life. No tannins or depth of flavor to suggest something better might be hidden. It was drinkable, but only barely. This was represented as an easy-going, early drinking value Bordeaux by one of my local wine shop haunts that prides itself on its advisors. They have some expalining to do.
