  The age on this wine is evident in the mild tan, brown hughes. Huge body, explosive cherries, some cassis, complex structure with big alcohol that is supported. Received this bottle as a gift, sat on it for a while, and am glad I did. Really enjoyed this bottle and the tannins are still evident. I feel this can continue to age quite a bit more and may continue to integrate well despite how well it is showing now.

  First bottle in 3 years after a long nap to resolve the tannins. Perfect balance of fruit, tannins and alcohol now, good for 2-3 years likely. Black cherries most prominent, classic Rivetti nebbiolo.

  PNP, Aromas of black cherry, vanilla, strawberry, flowers with a bit of alcohol as well. smooth tannis, very well aerated.
  This is drinking well right now, within its drinking window with some time left.
  Full bodied with plenty of room to open up, drank over two hours.

  I was pretty disappointed after holding this so long thinking the Nebbiolo would definitely improve with time. If you've got this, drink it. It's not getting any better, and it is even breaking down. The attack seems good at first, but it quickly separates into a porty fruit, tannin, and hot alcohol burn on the back end. Paired with homemade eggplant parm which did a lot to forgive in smoothing out the rough edges, but still a big let down. The time to drink this and enjoy it would have been years ago.

  Nose is quiet with only light fruit discernible. Color is a beautiful dark black cherry red. Bursts with soft black cherry and blackberry in the mouth. A tad dry and austere as Nebbiolo often is. Overall, a nice experience that complimented the grilled fare of the evening.
