Port for a new generation, not port aficionados. As likely to be enjoyed with a mixer as sipped by itself. Clearly trying to expand market appeal in a declining market. Pale ruby in the glass, expressive nose of rum raisin and maraschino cherry, note of perfume, palate is pronounced and sweet, strawberry preserves, raspberry, kirsch, mouth filling body, long finish. Do I love it? It is enjoyable and has a place.

Popped and poured chilled. A little strawberry on the nose with a generic aspect. Full bodied and sweet, some candied strawberry with a bit of heat on the finish. Felt overall rather generic and a bit flabby.

Dark pink colour. The palate isn't really like any port I have tasted. Yes it is sweet, a hint of spice and red fruit and some acidity but it's a dumbed down ruby port, not one I'd buy myself. It was suggested by the producer the wine is served chilled and/or over ice, I tasted it at cellar temperature. In truth it may well be passable served chilled but to me that's not proper port.

Soft on aroma with fragrance of floral petal. It's a refreshingly light on palate for a port. Sweet nevertheless, honey.
