  • This is an almost 90 point Pinot Grigio. Has some richness, depth and complexity way beyond some of the simpleness we often find with Pinot Grigio. Super golden color. Sophisticated nose of ripe peach, earth, minerals, orange rind, and brown spice. The fruit is tangerine, gooseberry, and orange slices with some spice. Not big in the acid department, but adequate. There is probably a small influence from aging in big oak casks with just a touch of oxidation that enhances. The finish is sweet lemon with fresh peach. There is a lot going on here than deserves further research.

  • 80% negoc. fruit from the Bardolini appellation. Smells like it has some Garganega. Big fruit on the palate, maybe some RS, finishes crisp, closed nose. Straight ahead, a little over at $11.99, would prefer $9.99.
