First pour had an excellent note of berries and the taste was complementing. Deep berry taste with a leather finish. However, it took a creamy blue to bring out a chocolate taste and the aftertaste was fabulous. Tannis was highly muted with the cheese. Would recommend as a cold evening wine with sharp cheese pairing.

I found this to be a pretty solid Bordeaux for the value (especially if it's gifted from a friend!) Rustic notes of dried out herbs, tobacco, and ripe red fruits. A decent pick for a casual sip.

Only available to me locally in magnum size but opened one to see and drank it over a number of days. It improved once opened. Certainly needs a few more years but there is potential here. So I bought a few more to put down and we'll see. Meanwhile bought bottles of 2009 which is drinking very well now and a great value buy at €11 in Belgium/Delhaize. Not sure whether the 2009 will improve much but certainly it's a nice drink now.

Really nice, fully ripe merlot nose of plum, mushrooms, moss, medium to full bodied, high alcohol and a little hot at 14.5%
