Purchased at Costco in December 2013. This was when I switched favorites from Russian River Pinots to Sonoma Coast wines as the cooler climate produced more age worthy wines with profiles closer to Burgandy. This wine did not disappoint. The nose was huge, with crushed red fruits and plums intermixing with perfumed aromas of flowers, pencil lead, mineral, and faint oak spice. The palette was filled with elegant cherry and raspberry fruit that is perfectly ripe without being cloying, earthy nuances, and a touch of oak spice at the end with the red fruit lingering smoothly on the tongue for almost a minute. Tannins are well integrated as the wine has no sharp edges. Excellent example of aged CA Pinot, in the sweet spot right now, could hold though for a bit longer as the fruit tasted fresh backed by nice acidity. QPR is incredible, well done Coscto

Even though this was described as not "typical" California pinot, there was still too much fruit, alcohol, and oak for me. Prefer Willamette and Burgundy.

Super enjoyable, great aromas with lots of fruit and very pleasant in the mouth. Perhaps a tad bit over the top?
