Probably not as discerning as the other reviewers, but we quite enjoyed this wine. Smooth, round mouth feel. Some fruit. Perhaps a little pricey, but quite nice.

Ripe fruit, very rich and dark. Lacking freshness though, almost like it is trying hard to be bigger than it is (maybe tempting in a good year such as 2009?).

Okay for the price (Le Select Bistro, Toronto at $70 CAD) so likely ~$30 retail, which is pretty low for the Bordeaux region (even Côtes de Bourg), but nothing to knock your socks off. Nose presents very well some of the classic notes for graphite, black berries, freshly turned earth, fruit do not have huge depth and followed expectedly slightly dilute on the palate. Medium acidity and tannins, just not quite enough to make it to medium plus - finish it medium.
Gets the extra star just for low retail price

En del bunnfall. Mørk lilla farge. Lukt dominert av kirsebær med litt tre i bakgrunnen. Smaker sorte og litt røde friske bær. Solbær. Fyldig. God syre i utgangen, med en del tanniner. Middels lang. Litt søtlig vanilje fra eik er også mulig å finne.

Litt bunnfall. Lilla med mørk kjerne. Lukt av rips, solbær og litt kirsebær. Finner igjen solbær også på smak. Syrlig. Frisk og rund. Litt tanniner. Medium lengde.
