  • Cherry pie, red berries, Christmas spices. Big fruit! Previous bottle 4 years ago was a little too sweet for my taste but this one was more balanced. Didn’t really notice the high alcohol (15.5). Enjoyed with beyond burgers (with Italian truffle ketchup and truffle mustard) and home fries. Really nice bottle and good match for the occasion.

  • Pimpin' in the Vegas penthouse. Perhaps slipping a bit from its prime of a few years ago.

  • Strong fruit but a little too sweet for me although my wife thought it was OK. Dark chocolate followed the fruit along with spicy pepper. High alcohol. Paired well with filet mignonette on first day but second day not as impressive with lobio.

  • The "wow bottle" of my haul to Maui just happened to be the first cork pulled. I guess it doesn't hurt that I'm trending heavily towards southern Rhone these days... and this puppy didn't disappoint (and Winebid actually came through on quality-control for once, hoozah!). A fruit-forward dark & juicy wine that everyone loved; will need to check more from this label.

  • This has been my go to wine to blow someone's socks off since I found it through Epoch and Paderewski Vineyard after it first came out. A total fruit bomb and high alcohol for a 1-2 punch. This bottle didn't disappoint as a prelude to a birthday night steak dinner. At $50 I don't know if there's anything else quite like it. Only a few bottles left and approaching end of life, will be very sad when they're gone.

Vacu-pumped a leftover glass and put in the cellar. A few days later poured the last glass and a completely different wine. The wine was not quite as fresh, obviously, the big fruit and alcohol had died down. The big difference was huge, unmistakable aromas of butterscotch.
