The Usual Suspects...a new tradition; 3/22/2013-3/24/2013 (Lucerne Inn): FROM MAGNUM: Color: Light golden yellow Smell: Stone fruits, mineral, and roasted apples/pears Taste: A melange of stone and tropical fruits with an underpinning of minerals that ebb and flow over a long finish. Overall: Outstanding!! Words won't do this wine justice...several of us got stuck tasting, and re-tasting this wine through out the evening. Medium body, med+ fruit, med-high acidity, and a long glorious finish.

Unreal! Not at all old tasting, it had a touch of sweetness and seemed to go on forever. It was a really gorgeous example of aged pinot gris, I with I had more like this.

Another great dinner with some good wine (EL Ideas - Chicago IL): Peach and apricot aromas and flavors in a demi-sec style. Brown sugar start followed by good acidity and energy to its finish. I'd have liked more nuance.

Alsace and S&D: Blind White 5 - Very petrolly. Rich, honey, and sweet. Very nice. I figured this was a ZH.
