Rustic black and red cherry with some green pepper and barnyard hints. Good power in the manner of an Old School style wine, but with a firm, drying finish.

Scents of red cherry a bit of chalk, cement and just a touch of bitter cherry. Fully ripe, but well balanced with red cherry fruit, minerals and a touch of ripe tannin. Smooth, length medium finish with lots of fruit flavor and a touch of green stem or barrel flavor. Still going strong but very enjoyable now on long plateau. Way over plays it’s humble heritage. Good value.

Pretty red fruit scent with a nice floral lift a bit of subtle oak and cement. Crunchy red fruit on the palette. Generous in the mouth with good depth of flavor. Finishes with chalky minerals and a taste of cement. Smooth and silky finish with a bit of oak or stem flavor. Excellent value. Drinking really well at this time.

This was a lovely deep bottle of Bourgueil and sorry that it is my last as this was worth waiting for and it has kept well. It would have been better to keep to the end of the drinking window as it has matured nicely and was very smooth.

Maturing ripe black fruit with good volume, but still tannic for that level of fruit.
