  • Appearance is that of older Pinot, Ruby slightly smokey element. Nose has nice elegant Cherry Cola (is that possible?) with some red fruits like raspberry or strawberry. Could have blind picked this out as CA Pinot easy.
Palate is complementary and balanced with the nose, pleasant acidity, baby tannins, nice earth on the middle and finish that lingers nicely. Lucky buy!

  • Out of the three 09 Bonaccorsi's I've had (the other two being Cargasacchi and La Encantada) this showed the brightest, high toned red fruit profile with the highest acidity and minerality which also seemed to cut the finish a bit short since this seemed to lack the finishing sweetness of the other two bottlings. That being said this was still very enjoyable and ripe.
