Sadly, I just waited too long. The fruit is diminished to level of a faint murmur. Although there were no apparent flaws from poor storage, there just wasn't any "there" there.

Excellent Napa cab, but don't wait any longer to drink the 2005's. Well-balanced fruit, medium structure and moderately long finish. A beautiful expression of the grape and the region.

Slightly past it's peak. Fruit and tannins still present in moderation. But a slight tinge of age on the mid-palate and finish. Drink it now and don't wait any longer.

sadly, this was an off-bottle, the victim of brett and oxidation. Drinkable, almost good, but not quite. Given that it was a 'battle' of sorts between the two very similar (or should be) bottles, the L-M was the breakaway winner (and a good, clean, example, too)
Served non-blind.

Rich blackberries, currants and smokey leather textures. A mouthful of lively fruit flavors. Lengthy finish.
