18 months since my last note (which is a fair description of the current bottle). Tasted 4h after decanting. Very nice claret which is developing well. Good fruit with enough soft tannin structure to complement rare roast beef very well.

Deep, opaque colour with no significant browning. Rich, sweet dark fruits including cherry with vanilla undertones. Opened nicely an hour or two after decanting - spice and fruit developed on the nose and palate. Decent tannin and balance. It handled a rich beef pie well. Very nice, fairly simple claret. Certainly still has life in it. Next day, a touch of 'funghi' on the nose and palate but this was temporary. Quite nice with food but I'll finish the next bottle on the first day.

D+1,5h: purple red, so quite dark for a tean-year-old wine, in the nose eucalyptus and currant, light body, smooth in the mouth with currant, a little bit furry in the aftertaste, finish of about 15 seconds D+3h: it's much better now, has much more body, so I better decant it longer the next time.

(Chateau Cambon La Pelouse) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-intriguing blackberries; old cellar w/ dried sausage hanging; TASTE-pretty plum start, but then loaded w/ dry tannins on the mid-palate; very tight young wine; needs food; I really like this; GV-??

Korrekter, gut eingekaufter Wein, allerdings etwas herb und ohne prägende Frucht. Mit mehr Luft komplexer. Anscheinend immer noch recht zu, das Teil.
