My first CT tasting note was for this wine about 10 months ago. I liked it then, but now... Not so much. A few hundred bottles of wine have been consumed in the interim, and it's safe to say my tastes have changed. The 09 Petite Colline has a pruny, earthy nose with an off putting singed hair note. The wine is very thin, even watery, and the palate shows more pruny red fruit, more earth and wood spice, no tannins, decent acidity, and a short finish. It's more Oregon than California in style (forget Côte d'Or!) - earthy and savoury rather than a fruit bomb - but it's just not very good.

A medium weight, bruised purple colour. A fair bit going on here; quite complex and intriguing for a Niagara Pinot. Minerals, cough syrup and smoke on the nose. Currants, cranberry, spice, more smoke, more cough syrup... smooth tannins and lingering acidity on the finish.
And so I complete my first tasting note.
