Opaque, deep purple. Quite attractive nose of sweet oak, liquorice and bramble jam. On the palate, surprisingly light. Not exactly savoury, but good acidity means its refreshing and bright. Pleasant and long finish. It's a good wine, but for some reason it's not exciting me tonight. One of 2532 bottles, according to the label. 13.9%, screwcap.

Decanted for just under an hour before tasting. Opaque purple core, pink rim. Spicy black fruit, eucalyptus, sea minerals, caramel and cedar-wood on the nose and palate. As far as aromatics go this is a quintessential Aussie Shiraz, but it exhibits a remarkable degree of freshness that makes it seem lighter and better balanced than most of its peers. Very enjoyable – good to go, but has enough grip to drink well for at least another five years.

Very tart cherry, not much balance even after hours. Not a fan. Cheers.

Deep plums and blackberries and a touch of liquorice....
Ripe tannin and a beautifully long finish. Gorgeous wine.
