  brown hue. open nose, ripe dark fruits and intense tertiary notes, earth, mushroom. dense sweet herbals palates, plus liquorice and vanilla. smooth tannins, all mellowed. some soy sauce aged flavours, but surprisingly in balance and harmony. not lasting long finish. it's well aged in general, awesome.

  Prunes, dry plum, sweet fruity core, creamy and chocolate. Medium finish with sweet herbals. It’s the age of going down, but still vigorous and robust. Well mellowed cellared Pinot noir.

  Garnet with brown rim. Intense perfume and dark herbals in nose. The structure is a little disjointed due to the age, but still running well generally, dark fruity and savoury notes, creamy in finish.

  Nice perfume in nose, rich and dense, pack of sweet herbals, it’s great if you don’t mind a little soy sauce notes. Very unique having its own personality.
  
  JCL 80, JG 93, BC 84, WF 93, rarely see a NZ wine having so different opinions. I put 90 for its gorgeous side.

  Mountford and Julicher (Forrest Hill, Auckland): Dense dark fruits and herbals, some dark chocolate and soy sauce hints (a bit over peak?) but still very enjoyable in general!
