popped and poured. Dark crimson. nose shows spicy dark berry and some alcohol. on palate, this started out shrill, mostly from acid. passed thru vinturi to aerate, which softened it a bit. palate with light/medium weight mainly lifted by acid and light tannins on the medium finish. based on tonight and previous experience would open and decant several hours before drinking, or just wait a bit longer to open? probably won't go back here again.

From a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, from a terroir not that far from St. Estephe, this easy to like wine is filled with coffee, cocoa and cherries. Supple in texture, this drinks well on release. If you want a tasty little house wine that is fun to drink, gives change for $10 and ends with a mouthful of cherries, this is the wine for you.

Passed thru vinturi. Winex chatted this up but I am not really impressed. Thin tart and with a strange metallic twang. Will give this the benefit of the doubt and try again tomorrow.
overnight the nose picked up but the palate still showing thin underripe tannic tart.
Day 3 open on counter nose picked up weight and palate too. Maybe those guys are right. Certainly better than day 1. Probably worth the low tariff now.

Tastes like Napa. Well made, works at $50, doesn't say Bordeaux to me but maybe it doesn't matter.
