  • Drink this now. It is showing a brick/brown color showing its age. I am overly fond of wines that hide their complexity till later in the bottle. This is one of those. It comes on subdued and displays an impressive smoothness in mouth. It is not flaccid indicating that it has sufficient acidity to clear the palate. What pushes this into the above average category is the mint blackberry impression that develops later in the bottle. Grenache has this characteristic: the late bottle WHOA! moment which causes you to take another look at the bottle and pass the glass to your neighbor and say: "Try this!"
