- Yellow color and aromas of lemon, hay/straw and orange blossom. It's balanced and has flavours of grapefruit and menthol with a light/medium body. Narrow texture with a short finish - Pretty Chardonnay. Little oak, lots of citrus fruit, proper acid. Hard to imagine a better $7 Chardonnay.

Pale yellow with slight green hue; melon, soft lemon, hint of light toast with clean freshness and almost salty minerality; simple, medium - body, clean with a rather short finish. Good, fun summer sipper with cool climate character. Made within the Sevre et Maine appelation on schist, 90% aged in glass tanks, 10% 1-3 y.o. barrels. 8% barrel fermentation to give it that slight toast, the rest is on the lees. Made very similar to Muscadet.

Nice bouquet of flowers, lemon pith, wet wood, and river stone. Impressive for such an inexpensive (read:cheap!) chardonnay. On the palate it's got a medium bodied fleshy texture with flavors of citrus, green apple, beeswax, and limestone. Some subtle oak does peek through but it's barely noticeable. The finish is clean and simple, ending on a note of summer melon and salty air. For the price ($7), a really fun, easy drinking French chardonnay.

I liked the 1st bottle quite well but this bottle didn't offer near as much with mild fruit/acid notes and nothing distinctive to make it standout.
