  Notes on the last glass, 2 days after opening. Dark violet color, almost fully opaque. Clear, extra slow legs. Profound aromas of gooseberry, raspberry, red currant, strawberry jam, dust, bark, carnation, black olive, and tea. Luscious and big-bodied. Strong front, back, and middle with bountiful fruit, acidity, umami and very soft tannins. Long and vaporous finish. Here is one of those big Cali Pinots that the jerk at the golf club brags about but in this case, he's on to something. This has texture and explosive flavor that you won't find in most PN's and yet, there's no doubt about it's profile and source: great grapes from SLH. 5+12+17+9 = 93

  Outstanding, great bouquet, highlights of fruit and smooooth. Best pinot I've tasted in several years.
