Floral with candied lemon peel aromas. Concentrated lemon and lemon peel flavors with excellent density for its level. Plus lots of freshness for its age. Much better than expected.

Again I play the scrooge. Sigh. Its not that I don't want to love this wine, its just that I have had so many better ones that Kermit Lynch notwithstanding (the importer), I can't honestly give this a great score nor recommend it for further drinking.
Perhaps it was bad storage conditions (this wasn't from my cellar) before it was served to me, but I did not find any of the typicity associated with top notch Meursaults but rather a thin lean tart wine that at $95 a bottle is "challenging" to get my head around at the very least.....
Fruit on the nose followed by sharp acids and a thin body. What to do?

(Arnaud Ente Meursault Clos des Ambres) Nice minerally, classic Meursault nose; solid, tasty, tangy citrus fruit with good body; medium tangy finish (likely to age well)

Nicely evolved Meursault, smokey butter honey notes. Would have scored it higher with longer finish

Lovely. No hint of oxidation, just clean fruit with excellent mineral finish. Ready to go.

Nice exotic meursault. Butter and exotic fruit. Not terrible long, but very yummy. I must admit I prefer more classic examples.
