Dark ruby color. Nose: black cherry, wild blackberry, and redcurrant with accents of violets, red/black licorice, dark chocolate, tobacco, and cedar. Medium body on the palate: fresh black cherry, blackberry, and plum framed by licorice, graphite, dusty soil, and black tea. Medium+ acidity. Moderate earthy mouth-coating tannins. Lingering dusty soil, licorice, graphite, and black tea on the moderate finish. Complex old-world character combined with high-toned black fruit. Notable for it's balance, structure, and sophistication. Drink over the next 4-6 years.

Wine Education Service - New York State (LSE): Just translucent.
Lovely nose, sweet with a hint of oak.
Plummy, easy drinking, predictable, slightly boring.
