  • This is a Napa Valley Chardonnay that more or less tastes exactly as we would expect. It might have a little less viscosity than typical, but it comes across as rather lean and elegant. It is 3 years off the vine; more integrated and less fruity than upon release. The color is close to perfect golden. The nose has big pineapple and caramel with apricot, peach, melon, brown spice, nutmeg and oak. The flavor profile is just as broad with most of the flavors we associate with California Chardonnay like peach, apple and pear with cinnamon, apricot, nectarine, spice and vanilla. no doubt about the oak. Nicely integrated acid. Some honey with spiced apple cider on the finish.

  • I like the oak and butter. It's fresh, clean and the fruit is layer throughout the finish. I have no problem putting this on my table or bring with to a friends.

  • Fresh on the nose with classic toasty oak, coconut, pineapple and lime aromas accented with a touch of nectarine and some popcorn. Soft and slightly sweet on entry, this shows some early caramel flavors layered over ripe pineapple fruit with vanilla top notes. A bit ponderous in the mouth, it nonetheless delivers fairly classic rendition of creamy Napa Chardonnay. The finish is clean and bright though the oak is a touch aggressive here. Definitely not my style, but this should please many people. 85pts
