East to like and even easier to drink, this soft, sweet, medium bodied, fruity wine delivers a lot of bang for the buck, with its elegant, soft charm. This is a really solid example of a well made, uncomplicated, Bordeaux value wine. It's not a wine for aging, so if you have a bottle or two, drink up.

Value wines under $25 (Lou's): Nice to revisit this one. I had a bunch of these on release and while I think it may be fading, it is still drinking well. The group liked it much more than I did. Purple/ruby in color. The nose has xmas spice and dark cherries. On the palate, tart cherries and spice. Very smooth. No tannins. Not drinking old, but the oak seems to be outlasting the fruit. Still, it has a few more years left. Pretty impressive for a $13 Bordeaux.

great body - still has lots of life. holds up well with a steak The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle.

This is really drinking well now. I doubt it ever shut down, but this is open for business. Purple/ruby in color. The nose has dark cherries, cigar tobaccos, cassis, and dust. Pretty classic nose. On the palate, this is medium bodied and drinking quite well now. Some complexity. Some development but plenty of fruit. Not super ripe. nice balance. Nice finish. At under $15, this was a great qpr.

Agree with other posts. Nice, moderately complex Bordeaux from a good vintage. Good QPR.
