Earthy nose with aromas of red fruit, forest floor, mushroom, cedar with tinges of eucalyptus and chocolate, well-crafted and balanced, a vegetal nuanced palate of ripe red cherry and blueberry sauce cajoled by secondary notes of white chocolate, smoke, cherry cola grass and white pepper, pleasantly weaved together with soft yet structured tannins, medium-long finish.

Opened because I was afraid this might have gone past.....not at all, this wine has got at least 5 years more of aging potential if in good cold cellar. Wine picked up weight as it was open. Complexity developed for 2 hours with bouquet expanding. As expected Pisoni baking spice, cherry, raspberry, significant viscosity with some sweetness, and a long finish. Really in a good place right now, but there is no rush.

Drank as a pop and pour. Great wine, especially for food. yes, clearly it has cherry as the dominate fruit in the body (as all the notes say) but there is a lot more going on with this wine. The nose has garrique and slight salty air, while the cherry in the body is balanced with garni, some loam and kirsch in the transition to finish.
As usual with Pinots, CT pundits estimate this wine will be dead way before it will Drink through 2022

Good bottle of Lucia. Very light at opening with lots of acid however it wore off and a nice bloom hit at about minute 50. Had with a Kale salad and artichokes.
