Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 92 points

  • Nose of very dark fruit: blackberry, black cherry, violet, raspberry, vanilla essence, oak essence. Hints of dirt, dust, and shoe polish. Palate has good acidity, but tannins and structure have melted away. Although it's near the end of its life, it's still packed with flavour: cooked, jellied fruit (blackberry jam) supported by confectionery notes of vanilla, oak, and violet, with dark chocolate on the finish. Strong oak and high alcohol balance the strong fruit.
