Ruby to garnet with maybe a hint of orange lightening, but not sure about it. As all at least very good bordeaux from 2010 a brownish or amber colour is the evidence of poor storage conditions. This bottle is from my warmer than textbook cellar, so it is even more advanced than optimal stored bottles, but there is no sign of much evolution if you look at the colour of this bottle. PnP. Nose of mulberries, roasted notes of coffee and burnt meat. Later mineral infused tobacco leaves and laurel. On the palate with bramble and cassis, laurel, sometimes showing a hint of orange rind and in the finish some notes of tropical or yellow fruits as mango. There is some tannin left, but it is smooth and the wine is well balanced. The 15% alc. never become prominent within the right temperatures. Tasted from Riedel Vinum Cabernet/Merlot. 5/12/17/9, -2028+

First bottle of two OWC-12. Fill "in". Cork fine. Almost no sediment. Dark red color with dark brown/orange rim. 15 vol. % Alc. 60%M./40%CS. PnP. Good Pessac from a relatively small estate (16 ha have survived) situated within the threatening suburbian area (Villenave-d'Ornon) of Greater Bordeaux. Difficult for me to identify this wine as typical Pessac-Léognan. This starts as a very strong cherry juice accompanied by cassis and other berries. Felt a bit like an overdone/overextracted wine of the southern Rhône valley. So cork on the bottle and put into the fridge. After 24 h., the wine has opened up and lost the predominant juicy/fruity caracter in favor of the hidden CS and gained finally more texture and structure. This strong wine needs more time and air. PQR fine. Price tag 20€/bottle in OWC-12 at auction all fees included in 2021-12.

The wine is beginning to please very much in every respect. Fine stuff. Did I drink the 7 bottles before perhaps too early?

trinkt sich gut, alles gut integriert, der Merlot sticht heraus. Durch die 15 % leider etwas alkoholisch. Sollte eher etwas kühler getrunken werden.

15 alc is a lot, but well integrated. Heavy on the Merlot side. Can't smell or taste the 40% Cabernet. Nice to drink. Nice darkberry notes. Good.
