Deep color and robust nose .Aromatic and a little acidic. Good medium body and very good finish. Structured and smooth .I enjoyed and caught me by surprise .Very good QPR ($21) and I definitely will look for another bottle.

Entry level CdP that still impressed with deep complex flavors and structure that can be enjoyed young. No decant but upfront mineral raspberry spice with good depth and a long finish. No real savory notes which was kind of disappointing but otherwise, CdP in the $20 range is hard to top.

Seymour Wine Club Meeting 1/18/14 (Home of the Slywka's): This first wine threw me for a little bit because I initially thought it might have been older than it was. Got a lot of raspberry, bacon fat, smoke, pepper and a lot of earth. To me it screamed Syrah or at least a blend with predominantly Syrah. I could not find an exact blend on line but what I did find said it was predominantly Grenache and Syrah in the blend. This had flavors of cherry, raspberry, leather, smoke and earth. Ended with a decent finish. Enjoyed the smokiness.

Dark ruby purple. Youthful, slightly candied yet restrained, flowery and a touch of earth and tobacco on the nose. Very nice. Supple and structured on the palate. Nice dry finish. Has the flavor profile closer to a Gigondas. Solid and a great QPR.
