  • I like this wine more than my previous tasting. This may be related to a longer decanting, since I drank it a home, and not in a restaurant. This time, I've noted a more generous nose of red fruit, florals, and tobacco. It tastes much more fruity with tart cherries and blackberries present, along with licorice, smoke, and minerality. There is definitely less plum and fig, and much more vibrant red fruit. I really didn't taste the bitterness that I noted in my first bottle. This wine is medium bodied with a moderate ending and dusty tannins.

Tanins fondus. Remplie bien la bouche. Sans mollesse.

  • This blend of 80% Negroamaro and 20% Malvasia has a medium ruby color, and a rim that is slightly orange to brick red. It has aromas of medium fruit and florals. The wine is dry, medium to full bodied, with muted fruit. There is some plum, fig, and dark fruit present, but a bitterness is also noted, giving the wine a hard edge. I always like to experiment with new wines, and I have never had these varietals before, but this is really not my palate.

  • Rustique et un peu amer.
Nez sur les prunes et dattes compotés, assez boisé.
En bouche, court et fruit confits, boisé appuyé avec des notes de réduction.

  • I thought my first bottle was bad and excited to try this again but as it turns out, this is just horrible wine. I love earthy, dirty, rustic Italian wine but there was something on the finish that stuck with me for quite some time that was unbearable. The acidity and fruit up front was nice but the finish made this undrinkable for me. Down the drain after a glass.
